In 2012, I founded the Eye Drop Mirror Factory with high hopes, driven by a personal need for a solution. After undergoing LASIK surgery in 2011, I developed Dry Eye Syndrome, enduring excruciating pain for six months as my eyes struggled to produce tears. Faced with the financial burden of numerous prescriptions and over-the-counter treatments, I sought a more efficient way to administer eye drops without waste.
Inspired by necessity, I innovated and patented a simple yet ingenious solution—a mirror with a strategically placed hole and a nut on the back, facilitating precise eye drop application. Despite obtaining three patents for this groundbreaking product, the market wasn’t ripe, and sales remained sluggish.
Tragically, my vision deteriorated further, leaving me blind in one eye for six long years. However, through perseverance and the expertise of a skilled eye doctor, I eventually regained sight in my left eye, a moment of immense gratitude and relief.
Despite this victory, the challenges I faced left me unable to devote the time and energy needed to revive the Eye Drop Mirror Factory. While the desire to reopen lingers, circumstances have led me down a different path.
Though my entrepreneurial venture may have ended prematurely, the legacy of the Eye Drop Mirror lives on a testament to innovation born from adversity and a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
